Saving Energy by Plasma-optimized ARC-PVD

We established a new coating concept.  plasma-optimized Arc-PVD unit.
With this combination it is possible to coat aluminum profiles with Chromium or other decorative metal layers at low costs.

The increasing demand on environmental-safe technology is addressed since this process can be done without any galvanic steps. Thus no harmful chemicals are emitted in the waste water.

This unit needs only 30% of the energy a normal galvanic line would consume.
Using a special plasma pretreatment, time and energy consuming heating steps are not necessary.
Since the coating is done on a scratch-resistant varnish, the thickness of the metal layer is small enough to keep the coating costs at a minimum.
In addition, a thin functional layer may be deposited in the same process. This allows for e.g. hydrophobic surfaces.
